Old letters and envelope wall decor?
I have some old letters and envelopes with my grandparents handwriting and would like to copy and make them wall decor of some sort. I've only found a couple of ideas online but would like to see other ideas. So feel free to send links or explain ideas I could do. The cheaper the better of course! Thanks!
How about - in picture frames.
I've seen lots of old photos behind a glass clip frame ( the ones with no obvious frame around the edge just a few small metal clips to hold the glass on.)
These are useful since you don't have to fix the letters in permanently, and can easily remove them, alter their angles and layout when you want a change.
Take the clips off the frame as you buy it, put glass to one side, lay frame face side up on a table , arrange your letters etc as you like, big ones work better at centre or bottom (not top - looks odd).
Since you are using copies you can cut some to fit edges exactly if you like diagonal arrangements.
You could even have some of the letter sticking out from the edges of the frame.
When you are happy with it lay glass on top and lift each edge carefully a few inches to slip the clips on , You can practice this bit before you do your layout
If you want a coloured background use a sheet of coloured paper under the letters. Easier than paint.
