Do you find it irritating when people feel the need to let you know how great they are?
For instance, when they just have to tell you that they NEVER watch TV when you mention watching something, or how they love to read Shakespeare on a cold winter night by the fire while sipping imported tea grown by Tibetan monks with their Turkish Kangal dog at their feet or that everyone they've ever met just finds them insanely attractive, charming, and witty, or how they have their Master's in this or that, or how they never eat junk food, etc. And all this when you DIDN'T EVEN ASK.
Also, note that this usually happens online, where you can't prove if it's even true or not.
I hate this. If it isn't true, they should shut up about it and just be themselves. I'll end up liking something about them if they give me long enough. If it is true, they should shut up about it and just be content that they're somehow superior to the rest of us.
